The Commission Process
1. Inquiry
Begin by completing the commission inquiry form, sharing your inspiration, preferred size range, and timing. This helps determine availability and fit.
2. Size Selection & Deposit
Once the size of your painting is confirmed, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. Pricing is determined by size. This deposit secures your place on my commission schedule for the year.
3. Scheduling & Preparation
Most commissions are scheduled two to four months in advance. As your place in the schedule approaches, I’ll reach out to gather final reference materials and begin planning.
4. Sketching & Direction
I begin each commission with a series of sketches, offering multiple compositional concepts inspired by your vision. You may select a single sketch or request that elements from multiple sketches be thoughtfully combined. Once a direction is approved, the final painting begins.
5. Painting & Completion
Your painting is created in acrylic in my studio. When the piece is complete, the remaining balance is due.
6. Delivery
Once finalized, your painting is carefully packaged and either shipped or personally delivered, depending on location.
